the girl & the fig

it kind of sounds like a fairy tale will begin anytime, doesn't it?

your fairy tale will begin when you stop in

this

friday or saturday

for our concoctions that are based all on products made by this fine restaurant & pantry store in sonoma, california.

every one of the girl & the fig products are bursting with fig deliciousness and flavor that is fresh and inviting to have...more!

we are featuring delights made by chef kate that include:

girl&thefig all 4

  • apricot fig chutney with marcona almonds on st. rocco brie
  • red onion confit on boboli with buttermilk blue & balsamic  drizzle
  • golden raisin & fig mostarda slathered on pate de campagne

on a mini toastgirl & the fig

  • fig jam with goat cheese

What else is in stock for the weekend?

Last week was a rough heat week for many of our products.
  • It meant that we didn't get our Dancing Goat cheese because well, the goats were hot and not producing.  But it's back today.
  • siggi's icelandic yogurt also had a brief hiatus due to the heat, but it's back here as well as at Art of the Table downtown at Riverfront Cafe
  • Jenis Ice Cream has new flavors in the house including the Peach Buttermilk, Lemon & Blueberry Yogurt and Brambleberry Crisp!
  • We have one more suggestion for another warm weekend, our beer cooler!  We are filled right up and have cold libations in there that you can mix & match.  We hear rumor that this afternoon we'll be getting Short's newest crazily named brew, Bludgeon Yer Eye.  Yes, always coming up with something that makes you say...whaaat?  Short's India Black Ale is a shining example of stylistic guidelines. From Short's, "Intense fruity and floral aromasbluegeon your eye abound with a subtle malty fragrance reluctantly piercing through. A deep black color attunes the pallet for rich, dark, roasted malt flavors. The unexpected twist comes when high hop bitterness takes over and resonates profoundly."  (Do you wish you heard more about our cooler and its brews?  Sign up to receive our beer emails on the bottom of our web page!)
  • Although we've been flying through the picnic products, we have a lot of our German koziol brand plates left because, well, someone hit the wrong button when ordering.  Due to this error, someone will take full responsibility and give you a deal on plates...This Friday & Saturday only.  German made, BPA free, dishwasher safe and can suffice as a frisbee in a pinch.  The deal is available Friday & Saturday only.  $1.49/plate...regularly $3.90
