Our big news of the week is that on Saturday
we're hosting a tasting with
Massimo Furlan of
Ornella Molon & Vigna Traverso Wineries!
This Saturday from 12-2:30 you have the chance to taste wines while talking with a distinguished Italian winemaker himself!
Massimo's vineyards extend along the plane of the Piave River to the south east of Treviso, Italy. This area is known for producing top quality wines, thanks to the sea & soil.
Their old vines are farmed using old methods and they prefer quality to quantity, reducing the amount of grapes in order to make better wines. They farm red grapes including Raboso (if you want to know what that is, you had better stop in!) and white grapes like Traminer & Pinot Grigio.
For this tasting we will be showing off the Pinot Grigio, Raboso Frizzante (a red sparkler!) and the E'ros, a fantastic red blend. Also available to taste will be the Vigna Traverso wines which include the Troi (a really cool red blend that contains a crazy grape called Schioppettino & Raboso too!)
Stop in anytime, no need for a plan, we're laid back,
just like the Italian!
