FRIDAY is a visit from our friends at
B.Nektar,
A Michigan Meadery

B. Nektar's Backwoods Cyser (pronounced: Size-er) is just one example of the meads we stock. This mead is made with unfiltered Michigan apple cider that they pressed and fermented with local wildflower honey. After fermentation it sat around in 12 year old bourbon barrels for 1 1/2 years and then 'back sweetened' with local star thistle and buckwheat honey. This in an example of one of their more sweet varieties. They range from dry to semi-sweet to sweet and we'll have a variety of things open on Friday. Stop by anytime between 4-7pm to talk with Ian and try our selections. Stop in, you might learn something new... ...and to think this education is delicious and free! ********************************************* SATURDAY is a trip to Domaine de Mourchon, well at least in spirit!
Domaine de Mourchon... - is set in a secluded valley between the picturesque village of Séguret and Mont Ventoux in the Provence region of France.
- is small & family owned, the winery was constructed to the highest modern standards
- is made up of Grenache, Syrah, Carignan
- has beautifully terraced hillside vines
- sees combined traditional and advanced methods of vinification, resulting in a well structured wine with pronounced fruit aromas and strong color.
