Dancing Goat Creamery is back!

tazataza

delightful news!

dancing goat logo

The delights of local goat cheese have arrived again, a sure sign of spring!  The goats of Dancing Goat Creamery take maternity leave until "sometime" in March each year and we're just squeaking in under the radar.  Barbara brought us our first batch of fresh goat cheese this past week and it's really lovely!

Stop by this Saturday, April 2 between 10 and 2 to meet & chat

with Barbara

and taste her cheeses!

Come in and try our...

Goat Cheese Cheesecake!

The first time I had Cypress Grove's Humboldt Fog goat cheese, I was silenced.  It is so wonderful on it's own, spread on a hunk of crusty bread with a simple glass of red wine...

But adding to it's wonderfulness is its versatility.  Chef Kate has whipped up a delicious

Humboldt Fog Cheesecake with Honey Poached Figs

for you to sample...

Thursday & Friday

and we've thought up a few really fun wines that would be awesome to pair when you make this cheesecake at home!

Buy Humboldt Fog Thursday or Friday, get 20% off Humboldt Fog!

(while supply lasts)

And purchase one of these perfect pairings

below with your Humboldt Fog these two days

and get 10% off on these as well!

San Silvestro "Dulcis" Moscato d'Asti ~ Italy

A beautiful sweet wine with a little sparkle to it.  Flavors of orange blossom, fresh flowers and hints of honey make this wine finely ripe for consumption with dessert, especially Goat Cheesecake with Figs!

Undone Dry Riesling ~ Germany

A unique wine to pair being that we would normally pick a semi-dry Riesling to pair with a cheesecake, but this is really striking a fancy.  The bone dry acidity cuts through the weight of the cheesecake and the floral aromas and flavors compliment the density of the dessert.

Sichel Sauternes ~ France

Certainly my favorite sweet wine, and also often regarded so by "the experts".  Sauternes is uniquely sweet and terroir driven at the same time.  The minerality and slight herbal tones are always surprising and wonderful.  Enjoy with this wonderful cheesecake, or just sip on some when the mood strikes. (keep it in the fridge and it will stay fresh for a really long time!)

Cheeses of Spring

Over the last 7+ years, we have been very focused on bringing you the very best in cheese.  In the last two years or so, we added cheese cases, charcuterie and other fun refrigerated delights.

We are honored to be the place that you can find cave aged bleu, fresh hunks of Taleggio and cheeses you can't even pronounce like Garrotxa.

It's difficult to keep up with the amazing news of what's new in the cheese case.  So I've asked Kate, our resident cheese expert to update you on some

of our current choices.

You'll find our latest musings at the Art of the Table blog, just follow the link and then come in and grab some!  We do have varying sizes of cheese wedges so you can always just get a little to try it and see how you like it!

Art of the Table Happenings!

We're pretty jazzed about spring.

We've kind of been quietly preparing by shopping, writing,

and planning behind the scenes.

  •

We're here,

we're happy,

we're stocked

and we've got quite a spring (and summer - yes, think summer!)

in store for all of us!

  •

You may have read that we are now allowed to do wine tastings in the store!

We'll keep you up to date on that in our Wine Talk

e-mails and our store calendar

If you don't receive these, pull up our website and add your email address so you can stay in the loop of new wines and tastings both in the store and at local restaurants!

  •

Each day we sample something delicious.

We'll keep you updated on our weekly plan including

visits from many of our artisan producers this spring!

We'll announce right here on our Table Talk e-mails

AND will keep you in touch on our calendar
