"dark" for the next few days. We'll hopefully be back up

Knife sharpening & Knife skills

This week Thursday, our sharp friend, Tony, the knife sharpener will be at the store sharpening YOUR knives. Get your knives repaired from the long summer of veggie chopping and get ready for choppin' squash and beets and pumpkins!
Bring all your knives (except we don't recommend serrated ones) to be sharpened. Tony charges $4-6 a blade depending on size and will do these on the spot for you while you wait - or if you prefer, drop them off before Thursday - we'll take your name and phone number and let you know when Tony has completed sharpening of your knives.
This will take place at the store this Thursday from 4-7pm. Stop by with your collection of dull bladed knives!
Two other things you should be aware of:
1. We are hosting a Knife Skills Class on Wednesday, October 20 at 6:30pm. This "class" is led by our friendly Wusthof sales rep, Ed, and you are guaranteed to learn a lot and be entertained! You do not need to own Wusthof knives to attend. You can learn how to chop, dice, slice and oh so much more!
If you would like to come, it's $18 a person. This includes FREE knowledge, a refreshment and we'll be chopping real food, so basically it covers our costs. Oh and there will be a door prize drawing for a Wusthof knife! Always questioning your chopping skills? Be there. Call the store to sign up with your payment to reserve your spot.
2. Watch your mailbox for our Wusthof annual sale flyer in the next few weeks. it will be paired up with our store newsletter and will have great fall deals in it - just in case you're looking for a knife or two for the collection! (What? You don't get our newsletter? While our email is down it's best to call at 616.301.1885 and we'll take down your info!)
