Table Talk by Art of the Table

New to the Store!

fall leavesFall has fallen
upon Art of the Table
and though you can still gather your summer goods like dips, bambu plates for picnic and chilly wines...

We also seem to have encountered a pumpkin patch, some gourds and some beautiful bowls and linens.

Each week from here on out we'll be charging ahead
at what seems to be fall (and beyond) decorating and fun foods.

Speaking of fall foods, our newest yummy stuff
continues to pour in.  We'll give you a lowdown next time round.

We hope to see you soon!

Wine & Dine with us!
I love to go out for a great meal as I'm sure you do also.
Take it one step further and have 5 courses with 5 different restaurants!
and with amazing wines and cheeses from Art of the Table's shelves?
And really, when do you get the opportunity to dine with 100 other people at one table?

Do enjoy supporting the arts in Grand Rapids?
Or feel like you should in some small (but important) way?

We are participating in a great food and wine (and beer and coffee) event coming right up a week from Saturday.  On September 11 I personally invite you to join us in the 3rd annual - and best yet - event called Whole Notes - Eat Local, Sing Global.

This is a 5 course meal prepared from local farms bounty by chefs from around town.
This year's local focus includes participating restaurants and businesses:

1st Course
Bubbles & Beer and appetizers from The Winchester

2nd Course
Salad by the Electric Cheetah
Bread from Wealthy Street Bakery

3rd Course
Cheeses from Michigan provided by Art of the Table

4th Course
Blue Water Grill presents the main course

5th Course
Fancy and delicious cupcakes from Crumbles Cupcakery
Coffee from Rowster Coffee

This amazing meal (I personally can't wait!) will culminate with
music and dancing from Hey Marco!

This year our event will be held at Koetsiers Greenhouse, where we can dine close to the land but under shade and away from the potential elements
(We're 2 for 2 on rain, suppose we should take it inside!)

This event is the fundraiser for the north american choral company- they work with youth from our city and the GR public schools training
them to sing and dance and use their voices for good.

If you're interested, tickets are $95 (and tax-deductible!) and can be purchased on the naccwebsite.  Remember for $95 you're not just buying dinner. You're supporting the arts at a time when they're not getting the support they need.

So you? You eat and drink and dance and support - all at the same time!

If you have questions, Amy at Art of the Table can answer them,
...seriously you really shouldn't miss it!
More events?

Look for information on more events coming right up!

Beer & wine events featuring Bordeaux, Chile, Argentina
and our annual Anniversary party are all coming up this fall.
We'll give you the lowdown next week!
