Wine Talk by Art of the Table
 June 1, 2010
sunIt's June!

It's time to think of summer
and we think summer means time to sip on wine
indoors and out.  To be brave and try new things.
To put to bed any old ideas that
there's only Chardonnay and Cabernet.

Stop by for more than that.
Try Sangiovese slightly chilled or
a red blend with Carignan in it!

Enjoy a Pinot Blanc or a Moscato.

Summer Tastings by Art of the Table
We have three tastings arriving in the "very soon" category.
This means we would love to have you sign up to join us at one or more!

(We do need signups for the tastings.  You may call or email or even follow our calendar links below and signup online!)

Wednesday, June 9 - Refreshing Whites & Light Reds
A dear friend and German man with a gorgeous accent and tons of Euro-wine knowledge, Paul Mann, will teach and taste us on six amazing wines you can enjoy this summer in this our tasting, Refreshing Whites & Light Reds. I think you will be pleasantly surprised...
Only $25 with a bit of food and great wine, start off June with joy.

Thursday, June 10 - Rosé
Rosé wine is really 'hot' and dry and beautiful with just right right food and ambient temperature outside.  We'll be serving up beautiful pink bubbles when you arrive and giving you a chance to experience from the lightest to the darkest of the pink.  Even if you're a pink skeptic (this is not your mother's pink wine!), join us at Corez for only $28.  We dare you!

Thursday, June 17 - A Tasting & A Movie
We're sponsoring THE ONLY West Michigan showing of Blood Into Wine, headlined by a wine tasting of Arizona Stronghold wines!  Check out our
calendar for more details or head directly to Wealthy Theatre's Website for more details.  We haven't even seen the movie yet but we're looking forward to seeing more about the newest, hottest wine region in the country!

June 21 - Can It! - A Beer Tasting of beers in cans!
Beers in cans are hot, I tell ya.  And we're not talking about Old Milwaukee.  We're talking about the newest Big Sky Brewery and Bitburger and other fizzy delights.  We dare you to try them with us! Just in time for official summer! At Olives in EGR, only $20 and it includes some nosh too.

Wines we're drinking this summer.
Direct from a little region in Bordeaux, France we have wines that are not only
$8.50 a bottle
but taste good too!

You can take them to a picnic,
to friends.
(Well, at least the kind that you're not sure what they drink - and still have something fantastic to sip on.)

Seigneurs de Bergerac

Available in white, red and pink...I mean rosé.

The white is Sauvignon Blanc with Semillon and a teeny splash of Muscadelle.
It's bright and tart and fruity.

The red is Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.  It's fruity and full of blackcurrant and dark dark cherry.  It's round and full and would even be great slightly chilled with your weekend barbecued anything.

The pink is Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.  Similar blend to the red but just less time hanging out with the skins.

Remember our case discounts...we can get these down to $7.23 a bottle if you purchase by the case. That's a fantastic deal!
