Thank you to those of you who helped us clean up our wine shelves!
Because they're cleaned up, this means... ...drum roll... there are about 20 new wines on our shelves!
We'll try to apprise you of all of them over the coming weeks. In the meantime may I draw your attention to Arizona & Transylvania.

Wine from Arizona? Yes, and a movie too!
|
|
Yes, it's true.
Let's talk music first. There's this guy named Maynard James Keenan. He's the guy who brought the world bands like Tool and Pucifer. He's been quite a renegade on the rock music scene over the years... He also spent his late teens and early 20s in Grand Rapids as he attended Kendall College of Art & Design
Ringing a bell? Well if those aren't drawing you in, maybe the fact that he's now a winemaker and winery owner may be interesting to you. Especially because his wineries are in Arizona.
Do you know how many wineries are in Arizona? There are now over 40 wineries in the state, a few years ago there were only a handful.
We now have a handful of the wines of Arizona Stronghold winery and Caduceus winery in the store, they're listed below.
Further, Maynard and friends have made a film about wine. In a few shorts weeks, on June 17 - we will be sponsoring a showing of this movie @ Wealthy Theatre!
There will be a tasting of all available Caduceus & Arizona Stronghold wines prior to the showing. We would love to see you there, we'll be there talking about the wines at the tasting (6 open for tasting, open house style tasting).
We think you might just enjoy both the wines and the movie! Tickets available at Wealthy Theatre's Website

Wine, from Transylvania?
|
|
Shockers all over! Wine from Arizona. Wine from... Transylvania? Yes, in Romania they make wine. And have for a very long time. We now have Feteasca Regala Refosco. Sounds scary but look at the ever good looking bottle, it even looks thirst quenching! Rounding up as a reminder of a Sauvignon Blanc mixed with Pinot Grigio, this is one in the citrus & stone fruits category - with enough brightness and crisp acidity to stand up to picnic fare this weekend. At $10.25 (or less with case discounts!) I think you should try it - if only just to let your friends know... "The other day I tried a Transylvanian Refosco!" |
