Table Talk by Art of the Table
April 20, 2010

Earth Week @ Art of the Table

While contemplating how we are going to do our best to conserve, we realized that we fail sometimes,
we're doing a number of things to help.

We brainstormed and
the top 6 things we do to reduce, reuse, recycle
at Art of the Table are:

1.  All employees use their own 'shoppers' (Reisenthel bags & baskets for purchases & lunches)
2.  We recycle (and always have!) all of our glass, plastic & paper.
3.  We turn off all lights possible throughout the day when not in use & at night too.
4.  All our packaging is made of recycled kraft paper.  We don't useart of the table shopping bag glossy packaging, keeping toxic paints out.
5.  Of the 9 people that work here, 7 of us walk, bike or scooter to work on a regular basis!
6. We try to be smart about where we get our foods from. Though it's impossible for us to get everything from local sources, we sure do try! And related to this, we also try to get natural foods. Artisan cheese, not machine made. And even if they're in a bottle already, we try hard to be sure they're not loaded with sugars & preservatives.

What are you doing to help conserve?
If you're feeling inspired, here are some products that can help.
