It's been so long since we wrote a Beer Talk that you probably think it's still April 1, April Fools' Day; however it's not. Thank you for still making your pilgrimage to our beer cooler on a regular basis, it's been a briskly visited place!
So it's April 2 and we hear it's going to be 80 degrees today and therefore we thought you would like to know what's in our cooler for your outdoor relaxation and entertaining this weekend!

Arcadia Cereal Killer - As I hail from Battle Creek back in the day, so does this beer. A tribute to the Kellogg's Cereal City in a Barleywine style ale. And since there have been unexplained killings down there lately... $3.85/bottle

Are you familiar with the Beer Advocate?
This is our most recent review in the Beer Advocate from a customer. We were flattered, thanks! "My wife and I love this shop! The setting is nice and we love the old
yet refined feel of the shop. The building sports nice tin ceilings and
a really cool old beer cooler in the back. Brings back that old time
country store feeling. The customer service has been great every time
we have been in there. The selection isn't huge because of the confined
space of the cooler but it is diverse with local and some international
bests. I made a mixed six pack of lagers and the staff was very
informative, letting me know which ones would be better choices than
others. Great store and we will going back often!" Reviewed on: 03-28-2010 If your answer to are you familiar was, "No, I'm not", we thought you might want to be aware of it. It's a great way to look at what your beer peers think about beer from all around the world. If you check it out and you love our beer cooler, feel free to write a review!
If you answered, "Yes, I am!" - Then I'm hoping you might take a moment to rate us as your neighborhood beer stop. We would love to share your enthusiasm!

From the Meantime website, "Jam
packed with English Fuggles and Goldings, the beer is brewed with as
many hops as we can physically get into the copper. We then fill the
lauter tun with hops for a further infusion and then we dry hop with
the beer with even more hops using our own unique circulation process
to ensure maximum contact between the hops and the body of the beer.
All this gives us a final hopping rate of well over 2lbs of hops per
barrel."
This gentle giant is really beautiful and expressive. We think you should pair it with some spicy dish from the new Electric Eel down the street. Or pick up an amazing blue cheese and put it together with some great bread next door and do it up right on porch night! |
