PEF celebrates 40 years of supporting the Pasadena Unified School District with a party that takes place Thursday, September 15, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Paseo Colorado Courtyard. Don't miss the fun!
Festivities will include bands and choirs from PUSD's high schools, food, celebratory cupcakes, and mingling with friends and supporters of public education.
PEF's party is also the kick-off event for the Foundation's first-ever Community Awareness Campaign that runs through the fall as well as the pre-reception for the annual State of the Schools Address.
Steve Tobia, publisher of THE Magazine, is the event emcee. A parade of banners will feature students descending the large staircases highlighting ways PEF has helped their schools.
At 6:15 attendees can head across the street to the Pasadena Convention Center where PUSD's State of the Schools Address begins at 6:30. Board of Education President Renatta Cooper and PUSD's new Superintendent Jon Gundry will speak.
Four-hour parking validation will be provided for the Paseo Parking Garage.
