PEF HOSTS SECOND-ANNUAL ROBOTICS COMPETITION FOR MIDDLE GRADE STUDENTS AT PASADENA CITY COLLEGE

The second-annual Robotics Competition for middle-school students in the PUSD took place on Saturday, June 11 at Pasadena City College.
The Competition was part of the Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Math Expo, organized through a partnership between the PUSD, PCC, and PEF. The STEM Expo also included an Exhibit Hall, where spectators enjoyed more than 20 demonstrations, displays, and hands-on activities.

The Robotics Competition, sponsored by PEF, featured teams of PUSD middle-school students building and programming LEGO robots to compete on a variety of challenge courses. From the 95 competitors, Sierra Madre School's Team "All Day" placed first; Washington Middle School's "Robot Riderz" placed second; and Eliot Middle School's "Eliot Huskies" placed third.
