Welcome new subscribers ... and hello loyal readers, too!

I have a very special party to share with you in this month's issue of party possibilities. It's a Star Wars Spa birthday party.  A crazy theme, I know ... but I made it happen with great entertainment  ... and you can, too!

Entertainment, like a costumed performer, live band or even face painting, is a very powerful addition to any party or celebration.  It doesn't have to be over-the-top entertainment but it should be interactive and support your theme to enhance the overall experience!

As always, thank you for reading my newsletter, sharing comments with me and forwarding it to your friends.  I sincerely appreciate it and look forward to planning your next special event soon!

What do you get when you put Star Wars and Make-up together?  Spa treatments to celebrate becoming a Jedi ... of course!

To achieve this theme, I relied on great entertainment - nail technicians to give the girls manicures and then, Princess Leia to conduct Jedi Training (on behalf of her brother, Luke Skywalker, who sent his regrets).

Oh la la!  The Nail Spa was compromised of dining room chairs with comfy throw pillows, scented candles and little girl magazines.  The girls took turns getting manicures with pretty glitter flower embellishments and lots of lotion.

In the interim, the other girls decorated a light saber (made from a pool noodle) and enjoyed spa snacks and galactic treats.

May the Force be with you.  About an hour into the party, Princess Leia arrived to conduct Jedi Training, which the girls really enjoyed!  Afterwards, Princess Leia posed for photos with the girls and helped sing "Happy Birthday".
