Sugar and spice and everything nice,
that's what little girls are made of

This nursery rhyme is very appropriate for the {sweet} little girl for whom I produced a {sweet} first birthday party last month.  I'm pleased to share the {sweet} highlights of this special celebration with you in this month's issue of party possibilities.  More details and photos are available on my blog, posh in a pinch.  And keep in mind that this "sweet" theme may be applied to a boy's birthday party (yes! just change up the colors), a Sweet 16 party (of course!), Valentine's Day celebration and so much more!

Enjoy the party!  As always, if you need assistance in planning your special event or celebration, please contact me!
Sweet 1st Birthday Party

Whipped Cream

{Candy Table}
Pink and Yellow Jelly Beans
Pink and Yellow M&Ms
Pineapple Licorice
Strawberry Sunkist
Rock Candy
Salt Water Taffy
Milk Chocolate Almonds

{5 Tips to Create Your Own Sweets Display}
Choose your color palette and buy accordingly.  Need help?  CandyWarehouse.com will show candy options by color;

 Offer 5-6 types of candies or desserts per display;

Plan on 1/2 lb of candy or 1 1/2 desserts per person, less if serving additional {sweet} foods;

Create your display with tall jars, towers and tiered dishes coupled with low bowls and platters.  Clear containers are especially good for a candy display.  Blocks of styrofoam wrapped in paper are great for displaying  lollipops, cake pops and other desserts on a stick;

Embellish your display with ribbon and paper goods - cupcake toppers, buffet tags, banner;

Bonus tip!  Fill in remaining space with coordinating fresh flowers, tissue poms or pinwheels.
