When contemplating ideas for birthday parties, I advise clients to think about the guest of honor's interests and hobbies to develop a theme and to help decide on other event elements like invitations, decor, entertainment and even, catering.  For example, someone who likes to travel to exotic destinations might enjoy a safari adventure with lots of leopard print decor.  This issue of party possibilities features a milestone celebration for an avid golfer.  It's a Hole-in-One Birthday Par-tee with a murder mystery twist, which offers an interactive component for guests to genuinely mingle.  Not interested in golf?  Then, replace "golf" with nearly any other hobby or interest - shopping, cooking or painting for example - and you still have an outrageously fun celebration!

Enjoy the party!  As always, if you need assistance in planning your special event or celebration, please contact me!
Hole-in-One Birthday Par-tee!

The party below is a golf-themed celebration with a focus on entertainment - a murder mystery.  Guests will determine who killed the guest of honor's golf nemisis.  Could it be the caddie who assaulted the victim with a deadly divet?

Venue
The party can be held anywhere but a country club with golf course might make the theme more believable.

Invitation
Establish the theme early by mailing an entriguing invitation to guests.

We're Celebrating Margie's 50th Birthday
with some Murder Mystery Fun!

Festive Dress Attire
Guests become props in this entertaining celebration; therefore, encourage them to dress the part - right down to their knickers and [colorful] argyle socks!

Decor
A few accent pieces go a long way, such as golf shoes filled with flowers or a pomander ball of white carnations on top of a candlestick (to mimic a golf ball on a tee).

Entertainment
Hire talented actors who perform murder mysteries and know how to interact with guests.  It will make a huge difference in the success of your party and everyone will have a great time.

Cupcakes
Still wildly popular, due largely to local favorites CakeLove and Georgetown Cupcakes, cupcakes decorated like a putting green complement the golf theme
and are a tasty, no-fuss choice!
