This issue of party possibilities features Swap Parties, which are traditionally exchanges of new or gently worn clothing and accessories.  The concept is environmentally, as well as wallet, friendly and a lot of fun!  But if the thought of wearing someone else's clothes is less than appealing, I have other "swap" suggestions - ideas that are perfect for the upcoming holiday season whether you're entertaining neighbors, co-workers and or close friends.

Recipe Swap
I love this concept because it allows the hostess to entertain 'smarter, not harder' (thanks, June!).  Guests bring their favorite holiday dish (and recipe) to share with others, which provides 'entertainment'.  With the food prepared by others, the hostess has minimal set up - decorate the food buffet, set out some serving spoons, and set up the bar.  This sounds like an ideal party recipe to me!  Read on for more ideas!
 
Invitation
 Design a 4x6 recipe card invitation on the computer and print on premium cardstock.  Embellish with a snowflake rubber stamp and glitter.
 
 
 
  Tabletop
Serve food tastings on small plates (salad/dessert plate size).  China is best but if you want minimal clean up, then how about these Winter Whirl 7 inch square plates.  Click here to purchase.
