Recently, I launched a Photo Gallery on my web site. It
features photos from a 3rd birthday party that I
produced in December. It was a beautiful party for a
pretty princess. The concept came from my client's
vision of a carnival and was brought to life, initially, by
the invitation and eventually, a custom-painted
carousel pony and birthday cake, as well as bouquets
of pink, green and purple balloons, colorful party hats
and ten energetic preschoolers singing and dancing
to their favorite songs.
Invitations are very inspiring. I find that an image can
spur an idea (or ideas) that can be incorporated into
all aspects of the party. Therefore, this issue of
party possibilities focuses on invitation ideas
for children's birthday parties in hopes that you, too,
will be inspired to take the more adventurous path
when planning your next party - or that you will contact
me to take that creative journey with you!

invitations for some of the more popular themes and

characters, I recommend:

Elmo and Big Bird - does this invitation remind you
of 123 Sesame Place?
Dora the Explorer - announce a Super Silly
Fiesta with this invitationNemo - of all the fish in the sea, this is a
cute "cod" For school age children (5-7), who have
expanded imaginations and creativity, I like:

Pirates - Ahoy,
mates! X marks the spot for buried treasure.Magic - keep the kids guessing "how'd he do that?"Dinosaurs - this T-Rex rocks!Beads - my daughter, Lauren, would faint
from excitement if she received this crafty invite For older elementary children (8-12), may I suggest:
