Holiday Parties: Start Planning Now

Happy fall! I hope you're enjoying the (slightly) cooler
weather and tapestry of colorful leaves. At my house,
we're preparing for Halloween. We made our
traditional pilgrimage to the pumpkin patch and
decorated the house for our annual Boo Bash. It's a
fun time of year to be a kid of any age!
As much as I like fall, it is a subtle reminder that
winter, and the "holidays", are around the
corner. As crazy as it may seem, the time to start
planning holiday parties is now. Catering,
entertainment (including DJs and bands), decor,
rental and lighting companies ... as well as
professional party planners are booking holiday
parties now. Even if you 'do-it-yourself', now is the
time to pull together the guest list, shop for invitations,
and think about the menu. So much for fall!
Whether you're planning a large Thanksgiving
dinner, a jazzy New Years Eve champagne party or
something festive in between, posh parties,
LLC is here to help. We offer full service party
planning, as well as day-of-party set up and
management so that you can have fun with family and
friends, too. Pretty cool concept!
I look forward to hearing from you soon -

then, below are a few Halloween ideas to enjoy before
the holiday madness begins!

My Favorite Kid's Halloween Games
Each year, my husband and I host a Boo Bash for my
daughters and their friends. The kids dress up (one
more opportunity to use their costumes!), play games
and have a great time with their friends. Below are
three of my favorite Boo Bash games.
- Pass the Pumpkin - like musical chairs, kids sit in
a circle and pass a little pumpkin until the music
stops. The winner is the last person not holding the
pumpkin.
- Toss the Goblin - each child tosses 3 goblins into
a witch's cauldron; children, who succeed in tossing
the goblin into the cauldron, take a step back and try
again. The winner is the last child to toss the goblins
the furthest away from the cauldron.
- Mummy Wrap - in pairs, one child wraps the
other from head to toe in toilet paper (see picture
above). The first one wrapped is the winner.
