Greetings!

Last month we had the delightful surprise of meeting a sweet couple from Canada on their way through our area.  We had made phone connections a couple of times in the past year because of some special Singer Attachments they were ready to pass along, but we weren't sure if and when the opportunity would present itself to get together for viewing, sampling, and testing and to hear the history behind the collection.   However, despite logistics and timezone differences, we happened upon them in our small town one morning a few weeks ago.  We had many passersby that I'm sure were curious as to the motorhome parked alongside "Main Street" in the center of our small town... not to mention my going to and fro to the drugstore for proper thread (which happened to have the exact kind for the antique attachment we were testing!)  We had a lovely time visiting and learning about the history of the Featherweight and Attachments they had brought with them.   His mother had collected various Singer Attachments and when her friends learned that she liked them, she became the one to pass along all Attachments to down through the years.  What a collection did she certainly have!

And here we thought that collecting all the rare Singer Attachments was a 'new' trend within the past several years! Whether you are in the market for one of the rarities or just like looking at the photographic samples in hopes of finding that special one at an estate sale, we hope you enjoy the novelty of what these old gadgets can do.
