At our recent Featherweight Servicing Class held at Bluebird Quilt Studio in Nampa, Idaho, Carmon debuted his specially made magnetic LED light. This light magnetically mounts to the faceplate of any Singer Featherweight 221 and 222 with an adjustable arm for pin-pointed brightness on your stitching. Little silicone pads grip easily and prevent slipping. You will not have to worry about any adhesive either - simply mount it to the faceplate while you work and remove when you're finished!

How is Your Foot Controller Doing?
Does it do zero-sixty in two seconds without the ability to go slow and steady with the needle? Is the cord cracking or frayed or perhaps the length is too short? Well, send it in for servicing! Not only will the foot controller be more electrically compliant for today's standards, but if you still have the original bakelite plug (the part that plugs into the machine), you can maintain the originality and value by keeping it original. Besides, those rubber molded plugs can be hard to get in and out!

Prefer a new foot controller?
This style is a step-up from most in that it is "Electronic" and will not heat up, even with long hours of continuous sewing. The other new all-metal style often seen (which we no longer carry) contains fragile carbon disks and can break during shipping or if dropped renders the foot controller useless. Another benefit to this 'new' foot controller is that it has a wider foot base for easier speed control.
