Additional Singer "Fashion Aids", notably the Singer Pinker Attachments, are now available for sale at April 1930's, ranging in price from $69.95 - $139.95. Each Pinking Attachment is cleaned, oiled, serviced, tested and sampled so that you can be guaranteed and assured of a proper working unit for your low shank Singer Sewing Machine. Each cutting wheel is also double-checked to be free of rust, nicks and abrasions so that the rotary cut is smooth and even.
In addition, we have made Singer Pinker parts available for purchase separately, should you already have the Singer Fashion Aid and just need to add a part or two to make yours complete.
Both items are now available as replacement parts!
The original and unique thumb screws are often missing or displaced from old Pinking Attachments, and after searching for several years, we have finally found proper-fitting, long, narrow screws with the same thread-pattern and pitch as the originals. Because of the abnormal thread pattern Singer used for all of their machine products and screws, standard screws from hardware stores do not fit properly. These new screws, however, can be used as a perfect replacement if the original is missing. To attach the Pinker securely to the machine's presser bar, a small tightening wrench will also be included.
Notice the L-Shaped Pin in the photo above? It has a simple but useful purpose. In order to remove or replace the cutting wheel on the Pinker, the attachment gears need to be disengaged. Inserting the little pin into the gear hole will prevent the gears from turning, making it easier to clean excess lint behind the cutting wheel or replace it with a different trimmer style altogether!
Your boxed up, idle Singer Pinking Attachment will enjoy new life as you make it complete!
