Just Sew Sweet
This past month our 5-year-old daughter learned to embroider. Her first project was a gift for her best friend's birthday ~ a little kitten transferred from a vintage McCall's embroidery transfer. It took SweetPea a couple of weeks, but she kept at it... embroidering one stitch at at time. When she was all finished, I had her write who it was to and from as well as the date with an air-erasable fabric marking pen. Then I used the Reproduction Embroidery Attachment and a Machine Embroidery Hoop (all on my Featherweight, of course) and followed her little handwriting with a light purple thread (below the embroidered kitten) using the free-motion embroidery technique. Needless to say, I think this will become an heirloom to treasure forever.
SweetPea was so proud of her work and the finished project now proudly hangs in her best friend's bedroom.

Stitchery Friendship Tea
As some of you may already know, it is a distinctive April 1930's specialty to share the Stitchery Friendship Tea during the Holiday Christmas Season. I am including the recipe in this newsletter so that the everyone might have a taste of April 1930's Stitchery Friendship... we pray you have a joy-filled, very Blessed Thanksgiving!
3/4 cup Instant Tea
2 cups Orange Drink Mix (TANG)
2 cups Sugar 1 teaspoon Cinnamon 1 teaspoon Ground Cloves 6 Tablespoons Lemonade Mix (Country Time)
Mix Ingredients Together
2 Level Tablespoons to 8 ounces Hot Water ~ ENJOY!
