Greetings!
First off, forgive me if it appears that I'm still navigating my way through this high-tech communique', but the truth is I really am. As most of you already know I do not send these out very often, even though I strive for once-a-month. The last one got sent off before I had the chance to sit down and write you a little note.
Thank you so much for being a part of the April 1930's Newsletter. I look forward to being a part of the lovely things you create with your vintage Singer Sewing Machines.
I hope you had a very Blessed and Joy-filled Christmas and New Year! From November to January my personal schedule is filled to the brim with sewing gifts for birthdays, holidays, and then more birthdays. The second and third week in January is when I finally get to take a free moment and look back with satisfaction and relief of crossing all the little things off my list.
As most of you are aware, our world is changing. With all of the ways it is changing, some things are reverting in a way that is down right exciting! People are going back to the basics, their re-purposing garments, saving fabrics and notions and being creative in a way that crafters of days gone by used to do. I love it!
Just the other day, instead of throwing out an old shirt I had, I decided to cut it up and use it for trim on little something for my daughter. It made me wonder what fun ways you are being "old-fashioned"? There is an entirely different sense of self-satisfaction from re-purposing.
Anyway... to celebrate this exciting time of making and doing things "like they used to do" I am having a STOCKROOM SALE! The first of my cleaning out and reorganizing will be to put some of the e-Bay goodies on sale!
Just now I reduced the Style-O-Matic from $595.00 to $395.00!!! AND, that includes a high quality full-color reproduction instruction manual - not just a photocopy. Using some of your vintage stash of notions and trims, just look at what you can do with old-fashioned SINGER engineering using the Style-O-Matic ~ 17 different finishes with Bias Tape, Rick Rack, Middy Braid, Soutache and more!
Look! The middy braid appears to be floating on the surface of the fabric. See... it's blind stitched...
Got Yarn? Stitch It!
How many of you have vintage bias trim - look how easily it attaches using the Style-O-Matic
Oh! Here's my favorite - RICK RACK!
Edge-stitch it, stitch down the center... truly it is a sewing delight!
With 17 different finishes, the Style-O-Matic should be called the All-In-One, don't you think?
Stay tuned - I will be back to show you more! Some of the items in the Stockroom Sale have never been offered for sale by April 1930's before. This will be SEW much fun!
Hurry - get the last Style-O-Matic in inventory!
Have a delightful weekend! We'll be in touch soon!
Your Stitchery Friend,
April
