Greetings!
While winter officially starts December 21st, Granite
Gorge has been blowing the snow this week and will
open much sooner! Official mountain opening is
scheduled for December 12th, but if you are in the
area after Thanksgiving, don't miss the Kick-Off Rail
Jam starting at 1:00 pm on Saturday November 29th!

Come on up to Granite Gorge for the Thanksgiving
Kick-Off Rail Jam November 29th at 1 pm. The
event is open to riders and skiers with entry fee of
$15. Participants under the age of 18 must have
parent/guardian signature on liability release
form.
This year's sponsors include Synergy, Renegade
Skateboards, Buck 90 Productions, I Heart Snow
Productions, and The Board Room.

the great programs Granite Gorge Ski Area of the
Monadnock region is offering this
season, including some new
clinics.
Women's Clinic -Thursdays

Adult Lessons - Friday Evenings from
6:15PM -
7:15PM - January 9 - February 20, 2009 Cost $50 per
class (includes lesson, rental, and ticket)
Weekend Group Lessons - $25.00 per
person. (Must
be at least 5 years old)
Offered at 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM every Saturday and
Sunday and selected holiday weeks. Classes
are
broken up into children and adults as well as by ability

Winter Youth Program (WYP)
Students must be 5 years old to participate. All levels -
beginners through advanced - skiers and riders
welcome (see related article below)
All Mountain Fun Club- Saturdays
Offered Saturday - January 10, 17, 24, and 31
from
10:30AM - 12PM - Students must be at least 11 years
old and able to ski in open parallel most of the time;
riders need to be able to link turns. This group will
explore the mountain with experienced instructors.
They will improve their skiing and riding skills in varied
conditions and terrain, run simple courses and
explore the terrain parks. A great way to enter into
advanced skiing and riding. Club fee- $125.00 (for
instruction only, does not include lift ticket or rental
equipment)

| Winter Youth Programs- Registration closes December 12th |

There still is time to sign up for Granite Gorge's Winter
Youth Program but don't misws the deadline for
registration- Friday, December 12, 2008.
Students must be 5 years old to participate. All levels -
beginners through advanced - skiers and riders
welcome.
This is 6 week program, starting the week of January
7, 2009.
Class sessions are held at 3:30 and 4:45 on
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as well at 1PM on
Fridays. Students pick one day and time and come to
class once per week.
All students get one free bonus day to use to
ski/ride after February 20, 2009.
$190.00 - includes lift ticket, lesson and rental
equipment
$140.00 - includes lift ticket and lesson
$130.00 - includes lift ticket and rental equipment
$100.00 - lessons only (for season pass holders)
Helmet rentals
6 weeks = $30.00; Per week = $6.00

Snowmaking began in earnest this week, with a solid
base being blown for the upcoming Rail Jam and
Tubing Park.
Snowmaking is underway on other trails as well,
gearing up, so wax your skis or
snowboards and get ready for Opening Day
December 12th. !!!
