ATLANTA: TERMINAL IMPACT ON REDEVELOPMENT

 

According to a study for Central Atlanta Progress on the economic development impact of the proposed Green Line and multi-modal Passenger Terminal (MMPT), by 2040 business activity could increase by up to $5.2 billion. EDR Group, under subcontract to Bleakly Advisory Group, performed the economic impact analysis and cost-benefit analysis.  Read more  

BENEFITS OF FREIGHT INVESTMENT

 

For the National Cooperative Freight Research Program, EDR Group, on a team with Cambridge Systematics, prepared a framework and tools for estimating benefits of freight network investment. The guidebook lays out a comprehensive analysis for estimating public and private benefits of proposed multi-modal freight infrastructure investments (including investments in new, replacement, maintenance, and operational systems), as well as potential funding sources. MARLBOROUGH ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY WINS PLANNERS AWARD

 

The Marlborough Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) received the American Planning Association - Massachusetts Chapter (APA-MA) Planning Project Award 2011. MEDC managed the master plan, entitled, "Marlborough Economic Development Master Plan: Building the New Marlborough Economy," for the City of Marlborough (MA) and the report was produced in part by EDR Group serving as a subcontractor to FXM Assocations. Read More

 
SOLAR STUDY CONDUCTED AS PART OF POWER NEW YORK ACT

 

EDR Group was part of a team commissioned by NYSERDA to conduct a study on Increasing Generation from Photovoltaic Devices in New York. In consultation with the Department of Public Service, the study determined policy options that could be used to achieve goals of 2,500 MW of installed PV capacity operating by 2020 and 5,000 MW by 2025.  EDR Group evaluated the macroeconomic impacts on the NY economy from scenarios of solar PV adoption within the residential, commercial and idustrial energy segments, as well as mega-watt scale installations.  Read more
