ASCE Publishes Transportation Investment Report
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) recently released a report, entitled "Failure to Act: The Economic Impact of Current Investment Trends In Surface Transportation Infrastructure," which was a study performed by EDR Group. The purpose of the project was to develop an objective analysis of the economic and social impacts due to changing costs to business and households, constraints on ability of economy to grow, and loss of international competiveness for American industries. NESCAUM Low Carbon Fuel Impact
EDR Group assisted the Northeast States for Coordinated Air Use Management (NESCAUM), on behalf of 11 states, as a technical modeling consultant in developing a macroeconomic assessment using a multi-regional REMI model. This was part of an overall analysis of a proposed framework for advancing a Clean Fuels Standard (CFS) designed to reduce the carbon intensity of fuels used for transportation in the region by 5% to 15% over the next 10 to 15 years. Panama Canal Impact Discussions
EDR Group, with assistance from Howard/Stein-Hudson, organized and produced two Panama Canal Expansion Study listening sessions in San Francisco and New York City in late September, presented by the US Department of Transportation and Maritime Administration. Read more. |
VA and SD Statewide Aviation Studies
Two statewide airport/aviation studies featuring EDR Group findings were recently made available to the public. For the Virginia Department of Aviation (DOAV), under subcontract to SH&E, EDR Group participated in a statewide economic impact study to identify the economic benefits associated with nine commercial service and 57 general aviation airports that serve communities throughout Virginia.
