TREDIS-BC for TIGER II

New: a special version of the TREDIS Benefit-Cost (BC) Module designed to provide quantitative benefit-cost analysis and data reporting formats required by US DOT for TIGER II applications.  Free for current TREDIS subscribers and available at a special subscription cost of $3,000 for others.  Applicable for all modes (transit, rail, marine and road) including projects that involve intermodal connections, market access and business productivity effects. FREIGHT MODULE

The new FREIGHT MODULE is now available as an option under v.3.6.4. It show baseline and scenario impacts on freight patterns in terms of the volume of goods moving into and out of the study area (by mode, tonnage, value, industry and origin/destination). The initial version provides state-level freight analysis using the USDOT Freight Analysis Framework.  Coming soon: a further extension to enable local-level freight analysis using Global Insight TranSearch.  Read more...

JUNE WORKSHOP PROCEEDINGS   

The June Workshop on "Using Economic Analysis for Transportation Decision-Making" featured five presentations from State DOTs and MPOs followed by Q&A from over 350 participants.  A web recording of the 90 minute event is available, as well as speaker abstracts, Power Point presentations and additional follow-up material.  Further Q&A answers will be posted later.  Read more...
