The Silver Beaver Award is the highest form of recognition that a local council can bestow on a volunteer. In 1931, B.S.A. President Mortimer L. Schiff recommended to the National Board that an award be devised for recognition of distinguished service to youth in the area of a local council and the concept of the Silver Beaver recognition was established.
Please join us in saluting the following volunteers as recipients of this well deserved recognition:
Janet L. Boris
Bill Parker
James David Sleeper Jr.
Recipients of the Silver Beaver Award and the Quakesen and Mahalala District Award of Merit (to be announced at a later date) will be recognized at the Annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner.

Send 2 representatives to the next VOA, 7:30pm February 28th at Rowan Scout Resource Center.
What is the VOA? The VOA is the Venturing Officers Association. The VOA is made up of a staff of officers that always are trying to find new ways to better Venturing in the council. We run camporees, council wide events, and many other opportunities for all council Venturing programs. The VOA's purpose is to allow crew officers to meet and know about other crew's operating procedures and techniques on how their crew operates. This helps to make YOUR crew even better! So why not come out. Our purpose is to help Venturing in Burlington County, but we need your crews help with attending meetings and events so that we can continue to better serve the program! The VOA website is a great tool to stay informed: voa.bccbsa.org. So come out to all that the VOA has! William Sheaffer Council Venturing President
