Dear St. Pius X Families,
Well, the end of the 2011-2012 school year is finally here. It is with mixed blessings that we officially close this year and already start planning for the 2012-2013 year. This year has been filled with much joy and happiness as we welcomed both a new pastor and a new principal. Father Whalen and Mrs. Richardson have been a breath of sunshine to our St. Pius X community. Their faith-filled guidance and true love of St. Pius X emulates daily and we are so very fortunate to have them as our leaders.
We have been able to watch your children grow physically, socially, mentally and academically. This past week we watched yet another class of 8th graders move on to the world of high school. Today our kindergarten class moves down the hall to first grade and at the other end of the hall, the seventh graders move up to be the new leaders of the school. At our weekly Mass, the new student council officers, Jamie Joyce, Grace Durfey, Alex Deku, Danny Sullivan, Kate Timmerman, and Sara Deller were officially sworn in by their moderator, Mrs. Roberson.
St. Pius X School has provided opportunities for our students and as participants, they have excelled and made us all so proud. Whether it was on the sports fields, as members of Quiz Bowl, Science Olympiad, Geography Bee, Power of the Pen or any of the many other events throughout the year, our students have displayed true Puma Pride and spirit. As our students continue to grow, so will the opportunities to share their many talents with the world.
Please enjoy the summer break, have a safe summer and we welcome you all back on August 14, 2012 to begin our new year together!
The Faculty and Staff of St. Pius X School
