8th Grade Class Trip 
 
On May 4, 2012 at 6:30 AM, 21 students, 2 teachers, a room mother, and a principal embarked on a new tradition for our St. Pius X eighth grade class.  Destination:  Columbus, OH.  Mode of transportation:  (as one of the students said) a big bus with a restroom, movie player, footrests, and reclining seats.
 
Once  in Columbus, after the two and a half hour bus ride, the group visited the State House, enjoyed the Interactive Room and were awed with the Rotunda.  Lunch was enjoyed by all at North Market and then the class was transported by bus to COSI.  Highlights at COSI were the Ocean Room, Adventure Exhibit and of course, the unicycle.  Hungry appetites were again satified as the group dined Italian at Bucci de Beppo and finished the meal with chocolate cake.

All students agreed that this was an awesome trip and a perfect ending to their elementary years at St. Pius X School.
Sylvania Bus Riders 

Please return your Sylvania bus rider form to the office as  soon as possilbe.  If we do not have enough riders, we will loose the Sylvania bus service.

 8th Grade Soccer  

 

Our St. Pius X 8th grade soccer team will be playing in the championship game this Saturday, May 19,  9:00 AM, at the CYO fields against St. John's Academy.  Please show your support for our 8th graders and cheer them on to victory! 

LUNCH VOLUNTEERS 2012-2013

 

Dear Families,

It's hard to believe that the last month of our school year is just beginning! And with this beginning,it is time to begin planning for the start of next year and to begin asking for volunteers for next year's lunch /playground.

Lunch Volunteers are parents who come in during the student's lunch time to help in the lunchroom  and help monitor the playground. You can volunteer to help once or twice a month or weekly. If you volunteer to help with lunch once a week for the entire school year, you receive a $200.00  

tuition credit for the next school year. We will also give you a 10 hour credit on your service hours.

We have 2 shifts. Shift #1 is from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Shift #2 is from

11:20 am to 12:20 pm. Younger siblings are welcome to come with you.

If you are interested in being a lunch volunteer, please email me at tandaz@aol.com or  complete the form below and return by May 24th. I will try to accommodate your choice.

Wicked Twister
 
There is still time for you to get your tickets and enjoy the wonderful talent that our St. Pius X students share with us in the Eric Burnor production of Wicked Twister. 
The Wednesday night performance was awesome and if you did not see the show Wednesday, please plan to come either Thursday or Friday evening.  Tickets are still available for both nights but space is limited. Show time is 7:00 PM both nights and tickets are $5.00 in advance and $8.00 at the door!

Last Friday's Play Day was a huge success and a big thank you goes out to everyone in the St. Pius X community who donated items, worked in the various areas, bought raffle tickets, food etc.
