PLAYDAY is here!
What is PLAYDAY? Playday is our SPX fun day for everyone. Each of our classrooms becomes a game room filled with activities for kids of all ages. Besides all the fun, games, and prizes, one of the best parts of PLAYDAY is the FOOD! This year will be no exception. Check out the menu and make plans for a great lunch! Breadsticks $1.75
Hot dog $1.25
Nachos $1.50
Fresh fruit $1.50
Pop or chips $.50 each
Pizza $1.75/slice
Chili dog $1.50
Walking Tacos $2.00
Flavor Ice Popsicles $.50
Desserts $.75 - $1.25
There are also many great RAFFLE prizes such as iTune cards, movie tickets, sidewalk chalk, Splash Bay tickets, etc. Raffle tickets are $.25 each or 5 for $1.00. Game cards are $1.00 for 10 games. Please send your money into school in an envelope labeled with your child's name and grade, number fo raffle tickets you would like and the numbers of game cards you would like. DO NOT SEND money for food until Friday.
We are also looking for a few more volunteers to monitor in each of the classrooms. If you can give an hour or two, please contact Mrs. Nachazel. We promise you will have fun!

Pop Tabs Final Count from Mrs. Lawrence
A great big THANK YOU goes out to everyone who donated pop tabs for Ronald McDonald House! Our goal was 80 lbs this year, and we went over that by 18 lbs plus. We collected a total weight of 98 lbs and 7 ozs. Way to go St. Pius! Now for the prize winners: 1st place - Grade 2 has 25 lbs, 1 oz, 2nd place - Kindergarten with 16 lbs, 2 ozs, and 3rd place - Preschool collected 16 lbs. There were only 2 ounces separating second and third place. That is close! Prizes will be delivered within two weeks (by May 25). Keep collecting those pop tabs all summer long! |
Keys Returned from Mrs. Chris Velker Anyone who has a key to the Family Life Center, Parish Center or School must return it to the Parish Office by Monday, June 4 or must re-register them for the months of June, July and August. Thank you. |

Donuts for Dad is Friday, May 25 from 7:00 - 8:00 AM in the Family Life Center. We are also looking for a few volunteers to help us out serving our honored guests. If you can help, please contact the office.

Father Daughter Dance
Our annual Father Daughter Dance will be held on Saturday, May 19 from 7:00 - 9:30 PM. Invitations were sent home with each of our young ladies in the school. Picture packets will be available to capture those special moments with dad and daughters. Forms are available in the office.
The Committee is still in need of volunteers to help with this special event for our fathers and their daughters. Please contact Elizabeth Evans at 419-699-3938 (call or text. | Q and U Wedding
Our annual Kindergarten Q and U wedding was held this past Wednesday in the Family Life Center. Parents, grandparents, fellow students and teachers gathered to watch the union of letters Q and U. Congratulations to Mrs. Hurley and all our students in kindergarten for a unique way to learn yet another concept in our English language.

| SPX Personalized Snow Plow
Recently the Division of Bridges and Harbors contacted various schools in the area and challenged them to decorate a snow plows for the upcoming winter. Mrs. Puppos accepted this challenge and with the help of our artistic students, the above beautifully decorated snow plow evolved. Winners of this contest will be announced on May 19, 2012.

Wicked Twister is Here!
After long weeks of practicing, planning and working very hard, the debut of Wicked Twister is finally here! Show dates are Wednesday, May 16, Thursday, May 17 and Friday, May 18 at 7:00 PM each evening in the Family Life Center. Seating is limited so get your tickets early. Tickets are $5.00 in advance and $8.00 at the door.
Wicked Twister was written and directed by Mrs. Erin Burnor. Congratulations and thank YOU to Mrs. Burnor for her hard work and also for sharing her many talents with our St. Pius X community.
