PENNIES FOR PATIENTS UPDATE...
Our campaign for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society ended on an AWESOME note! We successfully duct taped Mr. Foos to the gym wall! It took 23 rolls of duct tape or 46o yards to do it. We hope you saw us on the Fox news Monday night and Channel 11.
The totals are in and we collected...$1, 442.92!!! Our 2012 goal of $1,300.00 was met and exceeded!
We had cheerleaders cheering on our students.

We collected a whopping # 160 pounds of coins! 4th grade came in first place in the most weight of coins contest with #28! Hannah Crosley brought in a jar that weighed #14 and had $25 of pennies!
4th grade has won a "snack party"!
Here are the winners of the guessing games and trivia questions. (Each winner received 2 rolls of pennies for their class boxes).
White Blood cells in the jar: Actual count: 847, 1st grade guess : 326.
Red Blood cells in the jar: Actual count: 1028, KG guess: 681.
7th grader Joey Jenkins was closest on the individual guesses and won a roll of nickels for the 7th grade.

A: 270 billion. (5th grade)
- How much $ was raised by students last year across the country for the Leukemia Society?
A: 26 million! (2ND grade) (St. Pius was part of this amount!)
