Who's Speaking This Week
Coach Zook to Appear at this Week's QBC Luncheon
The entire Quarterback Club is excited to greet Coach Zook at this week's lunch. Off to a great start at 2-0, this year's team seems to be focused and playing with a focus. Our coaching staff has worked tirelessly and the results are more than obvious.
Building on the Texas Bowl victory in 2010, Coach Zook, in his seventh year at Illinois, has this team poised for victory . After two wins to kick off the season, #22 ranked Arizona State University comes to town and will present the Illini with our most difficult opponent to date.
The time demands on our head coach are incredible. Player meetings, media interviews, game preparation, recruiting and we can only assume there is a personal life in there somewhere. When Ron Zook was hired at Illinois, Chicago Tribune columnist Rick Morrissey wrote "What Illinois got was a man with enough energy to power a few windmills and perhaps tilt a few in the process. This is a man who needs to stay busy." Thank you Coach Zook for your commitment in supporting the Illini Quarterback Club.
So, get your questions ready. Are we healthy? Who is our most improved running back? What about our defensive secondary? What is your routine once you get home after a game? Okay, that question might not make it to the microphone. Join us Friday and start your pre game routine at this week's Quarterback Club luncheon.
Joining Coach Zook this week will be Fighting Illini baseball Coach Dan Hartleb. What does it mean to our program to have former Illini Kyle Hudson called up to the big leagues? Ask the coach your questions this Friday. |
