Guest Speaker Correction
Coach Hernandez Replaces Coach Petrino

Greetings!

In the eNewsletter for this week, we erroneously stated that Coach Petrino would be a guest speaker. Due to recruiting responsibilities, neither Coach Zook nor Coach Petrino were available. We appologize for this reporting error. Strength and Conditioning Coach Lou Hernandez will be our guest speaker.

See you on Friday. Go Illini!

Who's Speaking this Week

Our football team has become known for our strength and conditioning. Is that because we are recruiting stronger athletes? Well, it's not just that simple. When Coach Hernandez came to Illinois in 2005, there was only one player with a 300 pound or better power clean. Five years later, we average 40 players per year.

Join us Friday for the opportunity to hear Coach Hernandez tell us about the importance of weight training and diet at the Division I level.

Who is the strongest player on this year's Illini? Who are stronger? Offense Line or Defensive Line. What about Linebackers?

Illini QBC members welcome Coach Hernandez to our Kick Off Luncheon. Go Illini!

We are all excited about the start of the 2011 Football Season. Camp Rantoul has shown us that this is a special team. A team with heart and a team with great potential.

Welcome your friends and family to join the Illini Quarterback Club. What a great time to be an Illini! Go Illini!

Sincerely,

Board of Directors
