ACWA Carwash Member - Rob Sacco WAVES, ACT
has attended Automechanika and says .....

" The Automechanika show in Frankfurt is on every 2 years.  Part of the Automotive show is the Car Wash Exhibition that comprises of all the European manufacturers as well as some from the USA.  A unique feature of the show is that there's actually working car wash machines and equipment by each manufacturer on display.  The main focus of the exhibition is automatic equipment, rollovers, tunnels etc.  The European Self Serve equipment on display is not common in Australia as we tend to install the American type.  For car wash operators there's definitely plenty to see.  The exhibition is used by manufacturers to launch new equipment models.  Networking and seeing what the Europeans do is also interesting given the volumes they do".

ACWA Supplier Member - Blendco will be exhibiting in Hall 10 Stand D69.   Brent McCurdy and Malcolm Acton will be manning the booth with help from some of their Distributors including Scott Bristow from Prowash

Brent says - "Automechanika is the largest car related show one can imagine.  It is probably 20 times the size of the ICA's Car Wash Show in Las Vegas.  Instead of filling just one hall, this show fills several halls with floors and floors of car-related products and services from Parts and Systems to IT and Management to Car Wash and Service Stations.  There is also an outdoor area that displays working carwashes and other demos.  The show covers everything related to cars- not just carwashes- and it is interesting to see some of these other aspects and get new ideas.  The European products and systems are very different from Australian and American approaches and give rise to many thoughts and new approaches.  Of course, you cannot forget about the city of Frankfurt where Automechanika takes place.  Frankfurt is a beautiful city located on the Main River with amazing castles, scenery and history".
