| STORMWATER POLLUTION |
| ACWA gets pro-active .... |
|
On Monday morning 18 October at Broadbeach, Gold Coast QLD - Ian Kiernan - CEO Clean Up Australia, Richard Holloway representing ACWA and Ron Clarke - Mayor Gold Coast, took part in a media event to highlight the dangers to our waterways from pollution caused by washing cars in driveways and in the streets.
This event was featured on the Ch.10 News that evening and was followed up by interviews given by Ian Kiernan with ABC Radio all over Queensland, and on the Hot Tomato Radio Station.
The video of the Ch.10 news broadcast, and the podcast will be on the ACWA website shortly.
ACWA hopes that this is just the first of many future media events around the country to educate the public and to bring more car owners into using commerical car washes.
