Greetings! ,
I am very encouraged by the economic outlook for 2012. Residential sales are increasing, mortgage rates are remaining low, the stock market is continuing a slow (and erratic) rise and unemployment is dropping. The year ahead promises to be favorable to the real estate market.
If sensible, results-oriented people are elected in this year's presidential and congressional elections, and entitlements, national debt and the tax code are addressed, 2012 could be a very good year. People want stability. Economic uncertainty from the lack of political leadership at all levels is the reason for this long recession.
The reason the economy is starting to improve is that people have hope that the elections will bring positive change and new leadership.
Cordially,
Mike

Sales Statistics for Fannin, Towns and Union Counties
|
The statistics for the number of houses listed and houses sold vary from month to month. The numbers are driven mainly by the economy and by the time of year. However, there are definite trends to be seen in the report; for example, Towns County continually has fewer listings and fewer sales than both Union and Fannin County.

It's winter! Forget about the iced tea and potato salad. When the wind starts howling and the dogs won't go outside unless they're pushed out the door, I get out my chili recipes and cook up a batch that's big enough to freeze for a few more meals. The chili that is currently speaking to me is one that I found a while back on my fave website, www.AllRecipes.com.

Wisdom comes with age, so they say, and thus the following pearls of wisdom inevitably came into being. Many thanks to college buddy Joanne Clark Mahoney for sharing them.
