Health Care Mobile SimulationMany rural areas do not have the volume of health care professionals to justify costly simulation training equipment. The Mobile Simulation Service, provided as an outreach of the University of Missouri School of Medicine, provides an opportunity for rural health care professionals to have easy and regular access to high-tech simulation equipment in their own community. Mobile Sim enables retraining and competency certification of specific procedural skills and medical decision making in a controlled, recorded setting. Simulation scenarios are available for individual and team competencies. Health employers can choose from standard scenarios or customize a package that meets the needs of multiple clinical and non-clinical employees.
