Today is a Brand New Day!
Good morning Friend,

Can you believe it is Thursday! Time flies!
Ok, so I checked in to travel to South Africa, two weeks before I had to take Malaria vaccination and I traveled with Malaria pills just in case. That was in 1995.
During the flight we were reading Eyewitness Travels books, have you ever one of those? That was the tradition among my friends, you don't research the destination until you are in the flight, it kept it fun and adventurous. Remember by that time there was no Goggle or wikipedia or internet like we have today. When I was reading of all the bugs and animals that I didn't want to meet, I wanted out...too late. There was just no way back.
When God made me aware of His constant presence in my life was the same. There was no way back. There were times when I wanted out. I did not want to follow "rules" or check the Christan list. You know, go to church, read your bible etc..I wanted to follow my dreams and it was so inconvenient to listen to that voice.
Until one day I realized that I don't follow because it is the thing to do, that I don't love because it is romantic to do so, that I don't forgive because I have to, that I honor others not because I am told to do so, that I serve others not because it makes me look good, that I don't seek God to get anything from Him. My Lord is the reason and everything else I do because it brings me joy!

"For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's." Romans 14:8 ESV

God bless you,
