Today is a Brand New Day

Childhood is the time for:
Hello my friend,

If the lifespan education of the Christian life begins at birth and it ends at death, to whom is the lifespan important to the church?or to The family?

Actually the church and the family have...should have the same interest in finding ways to understand where there member is at and lead them to where God wants them to be.
Have you ever tried to disciple a family member but they are not growing? Well, perhaps you must look back at how and what you are trying to accomplish and change your strategy.
Most of the time people try to push the gospel through the throat of others but it never gets digested.

Perspective

When we disciple others we might been doing it in a selfish way. Excuse me Julieta?

Yes, perhaps..sometimes... we do not consider the stage of the other person but we tell them all we have learned over the years and expect them to understand it and digest it in the hour of our conversation.

It does not work like that.

Think about the person in our family to whom we wish to share Christ. Woman or men, young or old...Locate that person on the lifespan.

Birth    Childhood     Youth   young adults    Middle adults    Elder adults    Death

Think about how many obstacles we will find in the way, culture, political view, place of birth, worldview, heritage.... you get the picture? Now instead of considering our plans, lets consider where the person is and meet them where they are and walk them through step by step...on God's timing and through his Holy Spirit they will be saved and make the commitment to give their lives to Jesus Christ. We are used to instant everything and we forget that bringing people to Christ is the work of God, we prepare the way, but God is the one convicting them. Only then you will see results of conversion in your family members. It takes time and dedication, devotion!

I hope this lifespan stuff will help us change our perspective on how we do ministry. I pray that our churches really are doing something other then giving us a great sermon and never look back to see where the congregation is at. Pray for your Pastor, Pastors need our prayers, they need to be directed and guided to live truly godly lives. Only then, will they be able to hear God's voice and truly lead God's people to do God's will. The responsibility is not only of the Pastor but it is ours too. We need to evaluate if we are growing and becoming mature Christians or not. Comfort zones are the worse places we can be at because we do not grow.

I leave it there. Pray and write in your journal how this perspective about lifespan can change your way of doing life & ministry.

May our Lord bless you and embrace you with his peace. In Jesus name, Amen.
