standing in awe
Today is a Brand New Day
Live it with passion
Good morning my friend

A few reflections....

storm aheadAstoria

When I reached Astoria last week, the weather changed rapidly from being sunny and nice to the picture at your left. I could see the storm closing in. Those clouds were bringing rain and wet snow. When I saw that the weather changed so fast, I felt a sense of urgency and walked to my car as fast as I could.

This is my Father's world.

O let me never forget that though the wrong seems often so strong,
God is the ruler yet. This is my Father's world:
why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King; let the heavens ring! God reigns; let the earth be glad!
World Relief President, Stephan Bauman, said that we cannot fix the world but we can change it. He said that of all groups the females of this world are the most abused. The solutions is men stepping up and walk Godly lives to protect the women of children. They ought to be the men God called them to be. He also said that many of us pity the victims but we do not get involve financially because it did not happened to any of us. It is until tragedy hits home, when we are willing to give our lives to rescue our family member.

Mark 12:31-32 30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' 31  The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these.

When we truly love God, we learn to truly love our neighbor as our own. But it is so difficult to put it in practice. What would we do differently if a direct family would be taken from us? Knowing that our children would be sexually abused or taken for organs, that is something we don't even dare to imagine. Only 1% is ever found! Our nephews at young age abused by perverts and robbed from their childhood. I don't want you to feel guilty, but to seek God and redefine our love for our neighbor. How can you be committed to help? Will trafficking stop if we help? Unfortunately...no. Will poverty come to an end if we give money....no. But: "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Jesus".

After 6 hours into the conference I felt my gut being stirred violently, the feeling went all through the night. I felt a sense of urgency, a sense of fear and a sense of humbleness. There is no way back, I am on for the ride! How God believes that we can make a difference on His behalf is just mind blowing. An imperfect woman like me, what and how does God look at me that He trusts I can make a difference? He is not only looking at me, but He is looking at you too, it is a matter of time to get you to experience the same I am going through. Like the storm is coming in on the picture, so is the calamity and with the same urgency, we need to get on board on His calling; there is no time left....

For the men out there this is a great conference in Boca Raton: Walk Worthy Men's Conference: Men of Prayer more info here March 10, 2012.
You won't be treated as VIP, there are no games and there are no prices; probably no food, but you will be spiritually nourished, encourage, inspired, transformed and learned to pray at another level of intimacy with the God who created you in His image, for His glory. You will be challenged and equipped to be men seeking God's heart to make a difference in this world; to love and protect. As Christians we are called not to be successful but to serve. Spread the word to other men.
