standing in awe
Today is a Brand New Day
Live it with passion
Good morning my friend African acacia tree
Do you know the name of this tree? I guess your answer might be no. Its name is Acacia tree. I bought a Christmas ornament in the Netherlands for my two old neighbors, they were two hearts made of acacia tree. It came with a booklet and everything as authentication. But I had no clue from where I knew the name. Until I read the book of Exodus.

The reason we went back to Genesis was to understand the family tree of Israel and the 12 tribes. Before we got to that we had read about Moses going up the mountain where God appeared as a cloud of fire on top of the mountain. But now God was going to allow the people to be closer to God. The people needed a place to worship their God. While Moses was up the mountain with Yahweh, the people made an altar and a gold calf. So God gave instructions to Moses on how to build Him a sanctuary, a house of worship and prayer. In Exodus 25, God gives Moses specific instructions on how it should look. This is how it is described in the Bible.

We will learn about all the parts shown in this picture. But today I wanted to highlight the Acacia tree. Because we all have seen it in movies or in pictures. It is always there but we do not know its value. It is a durable wood which is rarely attacked by insects or other tree deceases. It lasts forever sort of speak.

Exodus 25:2-8
2Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me a heave-offering: of every one whose heart prompteth him, ye shall take my heave-offering.

 3And this is the heave-offering that ye shall take of them: gold, and silver, and copper, 4and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and byssus, and goats' [hair],

 5and rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins; and acacia-wood;

 6oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil, and for the incense of fragrant drugs; 7onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate.

 8And they shall make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.

I pray you will have a fruitful and blessed week, remember nothing is impossible with God. Let Him fight our battles this week.
God Bless you,
