 Good morning friend,

How are you today! Hope you are doing well.
I am excited, like a kid going to Disney World, one more day before I get in the plane to Oregon!

Ok, so I am finding out so much good stuff. Now so many things make sense to me. I always had the quiet question on how could it be that God had preference to Israel above the other creation. But now, knowing that Ham was cursed I can see clearly how that generation became so corrupted. Ham is the father of the enemies of God' people. He fathered Canaan. This fact was repeated several times during the past chapters and verses. When the bible repeats one fact it is because it is important. Notice that Sodom and Gomorrah are part of their territory. They also were the ones who worshiped Baal, that one horrible god mentioned in the bible.

I am going to also share an interesting fact that I think it is good to know:

The Canaanite alphabet

The two Canaanite branches may be subdivided into several secondary branches. First, Early Hebrew had three secondary branches--Moabite, Edomite, and Ammonite--and two offshoots--the script of Jewish coins and the Samaritan script, still in use today for liturgical purposes only. Second, Phoenician can be divided into Phoenician proper and "colonial" Phoenician. Out of the latter developed the Punic and neo-Punic scripts and probably also the Libyan and Iberian scripts. Genesis 10:6; 15-20

The sons of Ham: Cush, Egypt, Put, and Canaan.

15  Canaan fathered Sidon his firstborn and Heth, 16 and the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites, 17 the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites, 18 the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Afterward the clans of the Canaanites dispersed. 19 And the territory of the Canaanites extended from Sidon in the direction of Gerar as far as Gaza, and in the direction of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha. 20 These are the sons of Ham, by their clans, their languages, their lands, and their nations.

I pray that you have a great and fruitful week.
God bless you abundantly!
