TODAY IS A BRAND NEW DAY

Sinai
Greetings!

How is the coffee?

I have read these verses many times but I think that I ever visualize the scripture vividly when I read it. So I looked for this picture so that we can look at the picture and imagine what the people saw in the dessert.

Why is that important? Read the verse and I will share with you my thoughts.

Exodus 19:9-11

"Behold, I am coming to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and may also believe you forever." When Moses told the words of the people to the LORD, 10 the LORD said to Moses, "Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments 11 and be ready for the third day. For on the third day the LORD will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.

Think about it, the people were going to finally meet with God and they were going to hear His voice. Likewise today when we seek our Lord, we too must be consecrated for our Lord. Not perfect but being ready to meet God. Have we sinned today? Does that mean that we are not consecrated for God? It means that when we sin (not if we sin but when we sin), we need to go to God and repent from what we did and come clean with God. We confess to our accountability partner and be ready to meet God back in prayer.

Because of His grace and mercy, He will listen to our prayers and our petitions. Still we will have to deal with the consequences but God will be right next to us just because He loves us. Christ paid the price for such a privileged status.

I am so grateful that even when I fall short, I can still come and called our Lord, Father.

Have a blessed day!
