I am hoping you are having a great time. In the past days I have been making day trips to several cities here in Holland and enjoyed a beautiful afternoon at Antwerpen. I have been meeting old friends and done some catching up with my brother too.
Christmas is celebrated here but not like in America. But it is also very expensive to celebrate it like we do in America. The ornaments are way too expensive, and so are the lights. I just bought 2 m&m's almond chocolates for 13 euros!!!, I was so sorry I did not buy them at cvs =[ Mangers are not popular but today I saw some on the streets. I wondered how many people walk around without a manger, how many refused to their king? 1 Samuel 8:7-8 ESV 7And the LORD said to Samuel, "Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them. 8According to all the deeds that they have done, from the day I brought them up out of Egypt even to this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are also doing to you.
It is not that we chose God but He chose us to be His children. How blessed are we that we share Hope, Freedom and the Holy Spirit to open our hearts and receive our King Jesus Christ so we can go to our Heavenly Father!
