Greetings! Morning!
The Birth of Jesus - Luke 2: 4-74So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
Isn't it interesting that our birth place is important, we often don't think about it. But all is planned and in one point of our lives, it will either bring us a great advantage or disadvantage. It matters, our Lord not only chooses our parents but the place of birth and the hour. if the Lord took the time to pick a place for you, why not believe that He is taking the time to unveil the rest of His plans for our lives?
What is your birth story? Here is mine. I was born two days before Easter day; on "Good Friday" night at 21:40 hours on the little island of Curacao, Netherlands Antilles, on March 31, 1972. According to my parents a quiet night with clear skies, full moon(fullmooncalendar.net) and many stars. I weighted 7lbs. My parents are both Mexicans and they have Italian, Spanish and Zapoteco (ethnic group in Oaxaca, Mexico) heritage. My parents named me Julieta; on their wedding day the musicians played Romeo & Juliette instead of the wedding march. To remember their "happiest" day of their lives, they named me Juliette. Yes, my dad made a mistake when he registered me and forgot it was Juliette. Funny, my Christening cards were printed with my original name Juliette. Reyes is my father's last name and Flores my mom's. That is only the beginning of the things God put in place for my birth. He did the same with yours, you too have an amazing story. If you don't know it, ask your parents. Tell it to others, so God can be glorified!
I am flying out this afternoon, leaving Miami, yeah!! I will be arriving in Philly first and will stay there a couple of hours and continue with my flight. Will tell you all about it, the posts and pictures will be on the blog. Pray for me as I will be instructing my brother's best friend in a discipleship training. So excited to see God's work from up-close and even greater excitement that I may participate in it!
Love you Miami,
Blessings, Julieta Reyes Flores Today is a Brand New Day |
