Today is a Brand New Day
Surprise the world with a Smile!

Greetings!

Good morning, did you check your calendar today?

It is December 1st, 2011, World Aids Day

To bring some awareness to you, here is how 600 people contributed to fight the numbers. Doing what? something fun, challenging and healthy. I learned about this because of a friend of mine living in Key West. He participated. Here is how:
Giving Thanks

Over $675,724 raised for 6 AIDS direct service organizations in Florida - November 22, 2011-Key West, Florida

The dust has barely settled, the tires finally idle after over 600 participants made the incredible journey from Miami to Key West. The journey started on Thursday with orientation, a display of portions of the AIDS quilt, a walking timeline as a recognition of milestones in the thirty year battle to conquer and curtail the spread of HIV/AIDS, and finally a candlelight vigil and opening ceremonies.

From the stage the riders and crew were introduced to the throngs of well wishes that filled the pier. The riderless cycle entered the ceremonies representing all those lost to AIDS the past thirty years, and from the stage it was revealed that for the first time in SMART Ride history over $675,724 had been raised to date, which represents a 40% increase over 2010  results.   www.thesmartride.org

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, Hebrews 12:1

How will you bring awareness to others today about HIV?

Have you tested for HIV?

Blessings!
