Colossians 1:10
10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,
My greatest insecurity was that I did not have the adequate knowledge of the word of God. I read in the Book of James 3:1 that "....we who teach will be judged more strictly." This was something I have feared with all my heart. In the Fall of 2008, I enrolled in seminary to grow my knowledge of the word of God. My faith has grown and I am confident to share the word of God to the best of my abilities and conscious that I still have lots to learn.
I have no idea where this is leading me, but I know God is in control. I will diligently continue to grow in knowledge and use it wherever God directs my steps. Today I am amazed of how much God has shaped me through the years. This week as I write to you, I am getting a new perspective. And, this is not about me, but about what God has done in my life; in your life; in our lives. A great reason to be grateful!
Now, let it be very clear: no deeds will ever please God, but when our hearts truly rejoice and delight in His word, we love one another and seek His presence and as the result we live righteous lives, then we are pleasing to God and all we do has meaning and purpose. But remember, if all is absent of Jesus Christ, then it is all in vain.

None were possible if not by the grace of God, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the strength of Jesus the living word and the support of people who believed in me. I could have chosen not to do those things but I joyfully said "yes I do" when He called me. Glory be to God! Thank you Jesus, thank you Lord!
