SUMMER

While this Friday afternoon most of us were wrapping up work and were heading home and started to enjoy the evening, a bill was being passed. A bill that makes same sex marriage possible passed in a Senate controlled by Republicans with 33 yea and 29 nay.  

The idea of marriage was dictated by God for the union of Adam and Eve. In the beginning God blessed his creation, the first marriage, and commanded that they multiplied. The concept of family was designed by God. And the idea of government was also the idea of God who placed rulers and kings to keep order among his people.

On Friday when I heard the verdict, I thought "I hope we were all praying". I hope we were all aware of it in time. The comfort I have is that nothing happens on earth without God's knowledge. Our Lord is in total control, but we must invest our time in prayer for our country and it's leaders both Republicans or Democrats. This bill is a clear indication that neither party will defend the values that made this country great. I should have send a prayer request but I got busy at work and it skipped my mind. It is time to pray for the country we live in and its people. Only then will we receive the blessings of God's promises for our families and for the lost.
