 A BRAND NEW DAY

Thursday June 23, 2011

In the beginning

14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years,15 and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so. 16 God made two great lights-the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning-the fourth day.

Genesis 1:14-19

The first chapter of the Bible is incredible and encouraging. Honestly, I never paid attention to each of the 7 individual first days like I am doing right now. I have read this chapter a few times before and I learned many things. But I never realized that at the end of each day, the account does not end at the evening but the verse ends there was morning. Is it written like that to instill expectation in the reader that there is more to come the next morning? Do you see your Brand New Day different?

I do. And that is why I belief that each morning I am handed a certificate of accomplishment that awards me with a Brand New Day. I have felt my expectation had fade away with disappointments and hurts. Through prayer, through your prayers and through studying this chapter to share it with you, I discovered that it is (also) my expectation that needs a boost. Faith+expectation= moves mountains!

Isaiah 55:11

"so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."

God bless you,
